My yoga experience: I have been practicing yoga since I was 18 and in 2021 I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training with Yoga Like Water. Since then I have completed further training in Aerial yoga, Pregnancy, Post-Natal, and Mum and Baby yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Breath work.

Over the years I have practiced Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Ashtanga yoga. If I had to pigeon hole my yoga class style into one of these I would choose Vinyasa Flow, but we shouldn't be limited by a name.

My classes explore all elements of yoga; the asanas (postures), the pranayama (breathing), and meditation. The intention of my classes is to facilitate you to discover what yoga can do for you. There is no pressure or expectations, just a space for you to do what makes you happy.

My open water experience: I grew up walking in the countryside, horse riding and enjoying family holidays by the British seaside. I always loved spending time outdoors and my formative experiences swimming in cold rivers and seas (including in Scotland) were ignited when I took up year round sea swimming in 2020. I also had my first experience of longer distance sea swims whilst living in Australia where I took part in a couple of 2km swims. Since then I have swum at the beaches in Devon, in the rivers on Dartmoor, in the Lake District and took part in the Banthum Swoosh (a 6km swim down river and out to sea!) and the Dart10K river swim. In September 2023, I completed my Open Water Swim Coach training and love to help people discover open water swimming.

My journey to Personal training: For many years my day job has been as a dietitian working for the NHS, universities, and in private practice. I still love the science of nutrition and sharing my knowledge to help other people, but being a dietitian is an indoor, desk-based job and I wanted a job that would combine my passion for health and movement and allow me to live the lifestyle I love. I had started practicing calisthenics and was enjoying focusing on getting stronger. I qualified as a personal trainer in 2024 and have been building my business to help other women find their passion for a healthy lifestyle ever since.

Aside from my love of outdoor activities I have two children who have taught me many of the skills yoga strives to teach; to be present, to love limitlessly and to not stress the small stuff! Oh and to forget your pre-baby body and embrace new challenges with the body you have today to make it as strong and healthy as possible!
