Granola bars
Ingredients:
250g rolled oats
150g mix of nuts and seeds (recommend roughly chopping your nuts before using especially if young children due to choking risk)
125g (1/2 cup) peanut butter
100ml honey
100g dates (pitted and roughly chopped)
4 tbsp water
100g dried fruit (I used raisins, but any dried fruit will do)
Method:
Grease a square baking tin approx. 20cm across.
Toast the oats and nuts/seeds in the oven at 180C for 1o mins by spreading out on a baking try (no oil needed).
Combine honey and peanut butter and heat in a pan until melted together
Place dates in food processor with water and add honey and peanut butter mixture, blend until smooth.
Pour into a mixing bowl and then stir in the oats, nuts/seeds and fruit.
Mix well until no dry oats and everything combined.
Tip into baking tin and press down with the back of a metal spoon.
Bake in oven at 180 for approx. 12 mins until brown around the edges.
Let cool for 10 mins in the tin before cutting into pieces
Allow to cool fully in tin before tipping out.
